You’ve probably heard the nursery rhyme, “A-Tisket, A-Tasket, a green and yellow basket…,” that contains a young girl’s love note to a boy she has a crush on. And we all know Dorothy’s basket featured in the Wizard of Oz filled with keepsakes, plus Toto and food fit for her journey in search of the Yellow Brick Road.
Perhaps less familiar, but so appreciated, are the baskets that a dozen lucky families receive as gifts every year, compliments of dentist, Dr. Breanne Reid of Great Smiles Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics. Great Smiles presents a monthly challenge question or task for kids and families to respond to and uses them as entries into a random drawing. Dr. Brea picks one response out of the Great Smiles’ special contest jar, and voilà, a monthly winner is crowned!
GSPDO baskets may not be green or yellow, contain a love letter to a sweetheart, and they certainly won’t cradle a furry friend like Toto (unless it’s a stuffie look-a-like
), but it will be jam-packed with thoughtful goodies and gifts that the whole family will enjoy. That’s because Dr. Brea knows how to treat her patients with kindness and care both in and out of the dental chair!
