Cinco de Mayo Fiesta, Old Town
A San Diego Cultural Experience!
The Fiesta Cinco de Mayo celebration began in Old Town over 40 years ago, the brain child of Diane Powers. The Chamber took over running the event a few years ago. Although it is a slightly paired down version, it is still a vibrant two day event. Over the years this event has grown to become a San Diego tradition. Fiesta Cinco de Mayo is now celebrated in many
communities in San Diego. This year the event at the Fiesta de Reyes in Old Town will be the largest celebration in San Diego. Old Town is a perfect venue, the Fiesta de Reyes has ten shops, two restaurants and plenty of traditional entertainment. The Fiesta de Reyes in the State Park has the best traditional live music, Folkloric dance, food and fun.
