Cinco De Mayo Sunset Sail Aboard San Salvador

May 4 @ 5:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Cinco de Mayo Sunset Sail on San Salvador

Sunset sail experience for Cinco de Mayo weekend. Choose either Saturday or Sunday, May 4th & 5th. Staged aboard the San Salvador, a replica of Explorer Juan Rodriquez Cabrillo’s vessel, the first European to reach America’s West Coast in 1542.

Spanish guitar, custom cocktails, delicious food, all while underway on the Bay aboard this lovely vessel representative of Spanish Pacific Heritage. Cinco de Mayo is the perfect holiday to celebrate aboard the Museum’s Spanish galleon replica San Salvador.”

San Salvador under the command of Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo, arrived at the port we now call San Diego on September 28, 1542, before proceeding further north in search of new trade routes that would link Mexico to Asia and Europe. She was the first recorded European vessel to sail along Southern California, and survey its coastline.
